What Does That Mean?
There is a wealth of knowledge online that anyone can access if they know which doors to open and how to turn the key, figuratively speaking. Here’s a good place to start if you are interested in free and open software that can save you some serious cash. That link will bring you to a list of options for creative software like GIMP, Shotcut, and Figma. Figma, like a lot of open-source businesses, has a freemium/premium structure that at least offers something useful.
You’ve also agreed to let me send you a quarterly email, which will showcase a few things that I’ve deemed important or interesting. If you’d like to see more of my writing, it can be viewed here.
Sure, where’s the hook? How much?
That’s the thing – I don’t want your money. Well, sure, someday I’d love to be ridiculously rich, but not at the expense of deceptive marketing or reckless business practices. So, no hooks or trap doors. No “gotchas,” or “booyahs!” Yes, there is a cost I pay for this site and the things I learn, but I’ve chosen not to pass that along to you.
Why did you choose “Software” when you’re not a software company?
I’m a programmer, and I create software. You can download it for free here. I also promote other programmers and teams that have made great stuff, like GitHub projects. I have attended, spoke at, and taught WordPress since 2015. I also teach on the weekends through Twitch.
