Dev Fest

So there are Dev Fests everywhere and you can join them for the low price of $50 for most. When I went to register for the event it took 10% for an unknown reason (could be the sale or it could be because I’m in a GDG?) which I may never learn. However, if you’re a student, that price drops to $25. There are other promotions, but I’ll leave you to search that out.

The one that is being held here in Atlanta, is on Halloween. I would love nothing more to attend either, but it just won’t happen. If Dev Fest were broadcast or “Zoom’d” then I’d absolutely attend/watch. As someone who promotes free and open software, I believe this falls into the “Upside,” column as it is something to look forward to and also a great place to network with other developers, designers, or folks within the orbit of code and technology.

Flutter is one my main focus at the moment. I’m having an absolute ball with it. There were some set backs about two weeks ago when I had to re-install and re-configure Android Studio, but I’m back on track and making something fun. Even more fun than Altimeter – so I devote time to learning Flutter and producing at the same time. Flutter is one of a handful of topics covered at Dev Fest.
