There are two versions of Builght</>. What you're viewing now is created with Builght</> and there is a simplified and bare-bones version; Builght</> Light. Builght Light is intended for anyone that does not want all the bells and whistles; it only includes a bit of markup to get someone going and to create a simple message board. It does not have user management, Bootstrap, or any templates. It can be altered and configured to do what ever a developer wants and gives someone a blank slate.
Builght</> is a "pay-once" license and it allows you to customize the code as you see fit. It is recommended, after your purchase, that you keep a clean and unaltered version on your system for reference and backup purposes. Any purchase is a no-return and no customer support transaction. Although there is no customer support, there is plenty of documentation for learning on this site and Bootstrap.
Any re-sale or re-packaged version of Builght</> is strictly prohibited. There is a hope that, after a certain point, this software will be open source and the system will be made available for free.
A complete system with Bootstrap injected and ready to go. Also includes a user authentication system and preformatted layouts. Both versions require .php and no returns.
A bare bones, no-layout version of Builght you can build to your specifications and is $3.00. Easily upgradable with/without Bootsrap. Both versions require .php and no returns.
Why Builght</>?
Builght</> is a return to a more code-based approach to web development. It has the characteristics of a dynamic CMS but does not use a database. But why purchase it?
- No Database - Builght</> uses a flat write to a handful of .csvs using .php.
- Less Code - The ammount of code required to get a site off the ground is less than current online options.
- Simplicity - Yes, this does require familurization, but it might be the last time you have to do it. There won't be changes to this platform after 2025.
- Encapsulation - This, is a bit more tricky, so there's more to read on it on the About page.
Ready to Go?
Great - now that you've bought a license, you're ready to start developing. There is a quick-start guide in the documentation and that can be accessed here and additional, general information can be found on the About. It's also recommended that you create an account to stay up with any community activity with this software.
